Two things happened during the summer of 2005 because
Tim worked most of the summer in FL. Lisa and Jesse, a 15 year old helper,
insulated the studio in fiberglass on what had to be the hottest 4 days
of the summer. Try wearing a gloves, a scarf, mask, goggles, and long
sleeves, long , sox and shoes when it's 95 degrees and humid; plus we
were handling that scratchy insulation so it was killer!
In the fall Tim returned and stained all the siding
and battens that he cut and trimmed to size. He moved them up to the
studio for the winter of 05-06 and so this is where we begin in May.

This lovely door was the first thing Tim built a jamb for and installed.
It has both a glass and a screen panel for letting in light and air.

Each jamb will hold two barn sash hinged at the top. They will fold
into the porch and hook at the ceiling with some kind of pulley system
Tim has yet to invent. On the right you see the size of the jambs and
can better imagine two sash in each one. These are stored in the shed
waiting for Lisa to come home from working at school and begin painting.
Tim has begun the siding today (May 30, 2006) and yesterday was our
29th wedding anniversary. What a great present this studio is :-)
